Independent by design, institutional in execution.
PEX Re was built on a simple premise: reinsurance decisions improve when the people making them have evidence, not a template. We combine placement, delegated underwriting and strategic advice into a single, accountable mandate.
Built for complex markets.
We work at the point where risk, capital and distribution meet — turning technical complexity into clear, executable solutions for insurers, reinsurers and specialist underwriting partners.
That means starting every mandate with a question rather than a précis: what does the data actually support, what will the market actually pay for, and what does the client need to be able to defend to their own board or regulator. Structure follows from those answers — not the other way round.
It is a deliberately narrow position: independent enough to say no to a placement that does not stand up, and institutional enough to execute the ones that do.
Practical advice, execution-led.
Jonathan Abishek
Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director
Jonathan brings more than 12 years of insurance and reinsurance experience spanning underwriting, broking and executive leadership across the GCC and wider international markets. He founded PEX Re to close the gap between how reinsurance is usually sold and how it is actually used inside a balance sheet — as a capital tool, not a renewal-cycle transaction.
PEX Re's wider team combines perspectives from insurers, reinsurers, global brokers, underwriting platforms and professional services — kept practical, and execution-led.
